We are delighted to announce that we have recruited Mary Walker as an employment partner.

Mary joins from Hull law firm Rollits, having previously been a partner and head of the employment unit at another Hull firm before taking a career break when she taught law at the University of Hull.

Mary has specialised in employment law for the past ten years and is particularly known for her skills in dealing with contentious matters, having previously worked as a criminal lawyer where she honed her advocacy and court work experience.

Recommended for her employment law work in Legal 500, one of the leading guides to the legal profession, Mary works with a range of clients including owner managers, PLCs, education institutions and charitable trusts.

She is also president of the Old Hymerians Association, an alumni group for Hymers College in Hull.

Mary said: "Andrew Jackson gave me my first taste of law when I was 16 and on work experience from school. I was very impressed with the firm so it's little wonder I ended up being a lawyer! I'm thrilled to be joining the team which has an excellent reputation in the region."
