Our ship build and repair team is in the position of employing a lawyer who has practical and technical skills to advise in connection with shipbuild and repair matters. Former seafarer Iain Butterworth is a qualified Chief Engineer having served in the Merchant Navy on container ships, oil tankers and ro/ro passenger and freight ferries. He regularly deals with technical disputes arising out of shipbuild and repair contracts and hull and machinery claims.

An increasing volume of work now concerns the purchase registration and financing of yachts, including schemes to mitigate VAT and other tax liabilities.
